Brian C. Peach, PhD, RN, CCRN is an Assistant Professor in the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Nursing, where he serves as principal investigator on 3 funded studies pertaining to intensive care unit delirium and post-intensive care syndrome (PICS). He and his team are currently trialing a compressed virtual reality exposure therapy (C-VRET) intervention with adult critical illness survivors suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms. In addition to his research, Dr. Peach teaches critical care, acute care adult health, and pathophysiology courses, and mentors doctoral students at UCF. He is serving a 3 year term on the SCCM ICU Liberation Committee, is chair-elect for the SCCM Nursing Section's Research & Scholarship Committee, planned Orlando's 1st Annual Walk-4-PICS, and has won research awards from SCCM, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International.
