Elizabeth Farrington, Pharm.D., FCCP, FCCM, FPPA, BCPS, BCNSP, BCPPS, is a clinical pharmacist at New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) in Wilmington, North Carolina. Farrington received a B.S. degree in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina (UNC) and a Pharm.D. degree from the University of Kentucky (UK), followed by a residency at UK and a pediatric fellowship at the University of Iowa. Her clinical practice is focused on pediatric critical care and general pediatrics. Dr. Farrington served on the 1st Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS)Pediatric specialty council and served as the vice-chair and chair. She served as a member of the Pediatric Pharmacy Association (PPA) board of directors from 2006-2010 and is currently on the Board of directors for the Carolinas Chapter of PPA. Dr. Farrington served on the clinical pharmacy and pharmacology section board of the Society of Critical care medicine (SCCM) from 2006-2008 and served as an ex-officio member of SCCM Council of SCCM from 2019-2022 She has served the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) as a member of the Board of Regents (2010–2013) and as President from 2022-2023. She was elected as a Fellow of ACCP in 1997, SCCM in 2008, and PPA in 2010. She is board certified in Pharmacotherapy , Nutrition Support and Pediatrics.
