Critical care billing is reduced by 15% when done by an APP in place of a physician. Monitoring of physician wRVUs and monetizing physician productivity, as measured by wRVUs, has been a long-standing metric for evaluating physician productivity. It remains the best way to fairly reward the hardest working critical care physicians.
