Dr. Slampak-Cindric is a board certified critical care pharmacist, pharmacotherapy specialist, and Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center where she serves as Director of the PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program and Coordinator for critical care and emergency medicine. Dr. Slampak-Cindric received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, a Certificate in the Conceptual Foundations of Medicine, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a teaching certificate from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Geisinger Medical Center. She serves on Geisinger’s continuing professional development committee and critical care medicine quality improvement committee. She is actively engaged in the Society of Critical Care Medicine, with involvement in the Advanced Pharmacotherapy in Critical Care Task Force as well as multiple charges within the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section. She also serves as an American Society for Health System Pharmacists Residency Accreditation Practitioner Surveyor. Dr. Slampak-Cindric participates in the didactic and experiential education of student and resident pharmacists, physicians, advanced practitioners, and nurses. She is an Assistant Professor for the Geisinger Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, and an Associate Clinical Preceptor of Pharmacy and Therapeutics for the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and Wilkes University Nesbitt College of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include critical care, emergency medicine, anticoagulation, faculty development, experiential education, teaching, and fostering the development of healthcare professionals.
