Megan McSherry, MD, MS is a pediatric critical care medicine fellow at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her research focuses on prognostic, goals-of-care conversations and their correlation to provider and family decision making in the pediatric intensive care unit. She is interested in using qualitative and mixed methods to develop a rich understanding of decision making in the pediatric ICU and ultimately, be the basis for the development and implemention interactive decision support tools that are meant to supplement provider counseling. Her goal is to improve the care provided to these families, enhance caregiver-provider consensus, and ensure outcomes are optimally aligned with patient and family goals. Her commitment to serving the unique needs of each child and family drives her dedication to this work.
