I am a pulmonologist and intensivist with a board certification in clinical informatics. I am a former fellow at the Center for the Study of Healthcare Provider Behavior--a joint program between UCLA, VA HSR&D, RWJ Clinical Scholars and RAND Corporation.
I am currently an Associate Professor at National Jewish Health and on the faculty at the University of Colorado. I have experience staffing patients in over 40 hospitals, with directorship roles in critical care, inpatient pulmonary and created our critical illness recovery center. I have lead session and published in areas using a patient safety approach to diversity, equity and inclusion. I serve on the SCCM DEI committeeI currently serve as an expert member from the U.S. serving on the International Organization for Standardization in relation to the pulse oximeter.
