Dr. Judith Tate, PhD, RN, ATS-F, FAAN, is an associate professor in the College of Nursing at The Ohio State University. Her program of research focuses on improving the lives of adults and their families. Her work includes testing technologies to improve communication, social, and psychological outcomes of adults with acute and chronic disorders. Her implementation science work focuses on interventions to enhance the uptake of evidence related to patient-provider communication by ICU clinicians. In addition, she has expertise in qualitative and mixed-methods research. Dr. Tate is actively involved in interdisciplinary organizations focused on critical care and has leadership positions within the American Thoracic Society and the Society for Critical Care Medicine.
