Imaobong Emmanuel Chinedozi, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, attending cardiac anesthesiologist, and Director of Research at the Global Alliance of Perioperative Professionals. Her work focuses on perioperative care and global health.
Dr. Chinedozi’s research focuses on global health, particularly improving perioperative care in low-resource settings in West Africa. She leads three major projects in Gambia and Liberia, addressing the impact of oxygen systems on patient outcomes, developing hypoxia education programs for healthcare providers, and exploring patient and provider perspectives on the barriers caused by unstable energy and oxygen systems. These initiatives aim to strengthen surgical and anesthesia capacity in underserved regions and reduce global health disparities.
