Biography
Dr Jagila Minso is a Pediatric Intensivist and works at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, North Dakota where she specializes in the care of critically ill infants and children. She is also a clinical assistant professor at University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. As a physician, Jagila considers herself a clinician educator, and spends time providing lectures to pediatric nursing, respiratory and Air Med staff to build their critical care foundation and knowledge base. She also travels locally and internationally providing critical care support services and increasing knowledge and comfort in the care of ill children, primarily using the tool of Pediatric Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (PFCCS). She also provides consulting services for the establishment of Pedaitric Critical Care facilities. An important part of her physician role is that Jagila serves in low resource communities and has dedicated a significant portion of her career to improving access to pediatric critical care medicine in this environment. She has a vested interested in global health, and access to health, and participates in multiple avenues to increase the breadth and depth of health access to the world’s sickest children. In her non-physician role, Jagila is a nurturer in the role of mother to a wonderful neurodivergent child. She also serves as a mentor to several women in her faith community where she fulfills her calling to encourage, walk along side, and facilitate spaces in which women can thrive in our varied purpose, live the best life we have to offer, and give back to our communities in meaningful ways.
