This session will explore various approaches and sustainability models of critical care in low- and middle-income countries, including challenges in addressing scarcity of resources, complexity of diseases, and capacity building.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe innovative models of critical care outreach in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and adaptability in addressing the complexity of diseases and capacity building for critical care clinicians
  • Examine the role of collaboration among healthcare professionals, organizations, and governments in improving critical care services in LMICs
  • Evaluate strategies for creating sustainable critical care models, including funding, resource allocation, and technology integration
